Alternate Transportation is provided whenever two or more labor hours are required for the repair. Value Guard: The Value Guard Protection Plan is designed to provide protection for a wide array of components in eight major groups: Gasoline Engine, Transmission/Transaxle, Front/Rear-Wheel Drive, Steering, Front Suspension, Brakes, Electrical, and OEM Air Conditioning Systems. If a covered system fails, Value Guard will provide authorization for towing to the nearest GM repair facility. Basic Guard: The Basic Guard Protection plan is coverage for the powertrain (engine and transmission).
